Daily Vitamin

Integrity — “Now stand up for me and don’t let me fall, for I’ve walked with integrity. Keep me before Your face forever. Everyone praise the Lord God of Israel, always and forever! For He is from eternity past and will remain for the eternity to come. That’s the way it will be forever. Faithful is our King! Amen! (Psalms 41:12-13, The Passion Translation)

What is integrity? It’s doing the right thing when no one is watching! Integrity and character walk hand in hand. It’s being honest when it would be easier not to be. It’s giving honor when honor isn’t earned. It’s being moral in a corrupt world. Just to name a few attributes of integrity!

We have many biblical examples of those who walked in integrity. Jospeh could’ve put Mary away once he found out she was pregnant. Moses continued building the Ark under the mockery of others — had he really heard from Yahweh? Job was accused of sin, yet he stood his ground even though his own friends attacked his character! Think of Paul; he was accused many times of being deceitful. They even tried to kill him. Let’s not forget the disciples being accused of being simple men of no learning.

And most of all Jesus! His integrity was questioned almost daily even though He did none of the things He was accused of doing. That list is pretty long. He suffered a death sentence because of it, but He never wavered or changed who He was.

Holy Spirit is with you to help you walk in integrity beyond what the world believes is possible!

Let’s Pray:

Good morning, Daddy God! Thank You for this new day to walk in integrity before You. Help us stand up for what's right even when no one is watching, and especially when everyone is watching and criticizing. Give us the strength to be honest when it would be easier to lie, to give honor when it isn't earned, and to stay moral in a corrupt world. Holy Spirit, be with us to help us walk in integrity beyond what this world believes is possible. When our integrity is questioned and attacked, help us stand our ground like Joseph, Moses, Job, Paul, the disciples, and most of all, like Jesus. Keep us before Your face forever as we choose to do right regardless of the cost. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today’s Declaration:

I choose to walk in integrity whether anyone is watching or not. I will be honest when it's easier to lie, give honor when it's not earned, and stay moral in a corrupt world. When my integrity is attacked, I will stand my ground like the heroes of faith before me. Holy Spirit helps me maintain character beyond what this world believes possible. I will never renounce who I am in Christ, no matter what it costs.
